Gordon D. Flick is the Controller for the Fathers and Families Center. For the past thirty years, he has been active in the financial management of not- for-profit corporations. Gordon began his professional career in 1987 as a Staff Accountant with a nonprofit firm that provides training and sheltered workshop services to persons with developmental disabilities. After graduating from St. Joseph’s College, he was promoted to Business Manager.
Mr. Flick assisted in the founding of another not-for-profit in 1992 to provide services to persons with developmental disabilities in their communities and homes. In 1995, he spearheaded the drive to bring the first state licensed daycare center to a rural county in Northern Indiana. The daycare center opened in 1996 with more than 80 children. He has also worked with various not for profit Boards on a consulting basis.
Gordon came to Fathers and Families Center in 2002. He manages all of the accounting, finance, and information technology functions for the organization. His position has grown in scope and responsibility as the agency has grown.
Gordon holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Business College; two Bachelor of Business Administration Degrees in Accounting and Finance from St. Joseph’s College; and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Gordon was in the first group of professionals in the nation to pass the new Certified MBA exam. He is also an ordained minister for the Worldwide Fellowship of Independent Christian Churches.
