What is the mission of Fathers and Families Center? Fathers and Families Center serves as a 501(c)(3) agency to enhance the capacity of young fathers to become responsible and involved parents, wage earners, and providers of child support. Major activities are centered on educational and employment advancement, parenting and basic life skills training, and support services assistance.
How long has the Center existed in the community? Fathers and Families Center was founded as the Father Resource Program in 1993 by Wishard Health Services. Offering self-sufficiency and job readiness training, job placement, GED preparation and other educational support, and parenting education, the program has served thousands of young parents. In 1999, Fathers and Families Center was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) agency.
What are some of the Centers accomplishments? Thousands of individuals have completed the programs intensive curriculum. Fathers and Families Center's programs and services embody employment counseling, career planning, job placement, retention services, GED preparation, counseling, parenting education, anger management, and personal finance classes.

What segment of the population does the Center serve? Fathers and Families Center assists low income young fathers and expectant fathers, unemployed or under-employed, in need of help in the areas of education, parenting, paternity and child support, employment preparation and placement, and other support services, such as housing, transportation, legal and medical assistance, food, and clothing. Fathers and Families Center's services are also extended to the families of these young men.
